.NAME Domain Name Registrations
Started in 2001, the Dot NAME domain name extension is the only one supposed to be for personal websites only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are popular by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to order john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already grabbed third-level domains remained functional.
Through our company, you can reserve your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to correct the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer key from the current domain service provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. There are no particular rules on who can book a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the objective behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
The .NAME generic top-level domain extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the precise spelling in your local language.
